Adriano Graziani

Welsh/Italian tenor Adriano Graziani began his studies with the Polish voice teacher Victor Gavrak before taking up a scholarship at the Royal College of Music, London. Having completed his advanced training at the Cardiff International Academy of Voice, he continues to study with Dennis O‘Neill.

Up and coming engagements in 2019 already include several performances of Rodolfo in Verdi’s Luisa Miller for Landestheater Detmold, various concert performances for Welsh National Opera as well as a welcome return to Opera Holland Park to sing Riccardo in Verdi’s ‘Un ballo in maschera’.

Adriano is featured on the critically acclaimed Naxos recording of Zandonai’s Francesca da Rimini in the role of Malatestino dall’Occhio with the Philharmonic Orchestra Freiburg under Fabrice Bollon.

Recent engagements include Riccardo Un ballo in maschera (Opera Zuid/Opera North Leeds); Don José Carmen (Central City Opera / Landestheater Bregenz / Scottish Opera); Luigi  (cover) Il tabarro (Royal Opera House, Covent Garden); Cavaradossi Tosca (Longborough Festival); Pinkerton Madama Butterfly (Welsh National Opera); Edgardo Lucia di Lammermoor (Buxton Festival); Alfredo (cover) La Traviata (Glyndebourne); and Rodolfo La Bohème (Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg / Opera Zuid).

Past opera roles have included: Macduff Macbeth, Alfredo La Traviata (Stadttheater Bern); Alfredo (Arizona Opera); Ismaele Nabucco, Malatestino dall’Occhio Francesca da Rimini, Luigi Il tabarro (Theater Freiburg); Don Ruiz in Donizetti’s Maria Padilla (Wexford Festival / Opera Boston); Pinkerton, Cavaradossi (Opera Zuid); Edmondo Manon Lescaut, Leicester Maria Stuarda (Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti, Modena/ Fondazione Arturo Toscanini, Piacenza); Cavaradossi (Opera Holland Park / Dorset Opera); Arturo Lucia di Lammermoor (Scottish Opera); Pollione Norma (Northern Ireland Opera/ Ulster Orchestra); and Macduff Macbeth ( Glyndebourne Touring Opera) which earned him the Glyndebourne Promise Award for the most promising singer.
